As I mentioned before, Dean and Karen, our neighbors have been bringing us tomatoes almost daily. This was painted last week and the deluge has slowed now, but we’ve been feasting on fresh tomatoes for about three weeks now.
I painted this one from life using some green fabric that I bought a the remnant department a JoAnne’s Fabric as a background. I took a slightly different approach with this one, I used an extender in my paint to make it dry slower so I was painting more wet on wet. I’m getting better at mixing the paint with water and medium to get it to behave just the way I want it to.
